CORE ASCENT
COOKIES POLICY
Effective
Date: August 5, 2026
This Cookies Policy explains how Core Ascent uses cookies and similar
technologies on coreascent.co (the “Site”) and in our fitness tracking
application (the “App”). It supplements our Privacy Policy. Non-essential
cookies are used only with your consent, which you give or refuse through the
consent banner shown when you visit the Site and can change at any time.
1.
WHAT COOKIES ARE
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit.
Related technologies include pixels, local storage, session storage, and
authentication tokens, which we treat the same way under this Policy. Cookies
may be session-based (deleted when the browser closes) or persistent (remaining
for a set period).
2.
WHAT WE USE
Strictly necessary: cookies that make the Site and App work, including
WordPress and Elementor session cookies, form handling, security, and the App’s
login tokens and local storage. These are always active and do not require
consent.
Analytics: Google Analytics is active on the Site and sets cookies such
as _ga (up to 2 years) to measure visits, pages viewed, and errors in
aggregate. These run only after you consent through the banner.
Functional: cookies and local storage that remember preferences, such as
wp-settings cookies for logged-in users and Elementor’s form and popup storage.
Payments: the PayPal widget may set cookies for session management,
security, and fraud prevention when you pay through the Site. Sensitive payment
data is handled by PayPal directly.
Advertising: we do not run targeted advertising cookies. Embedded
third-party content on the Site, such as YouTube videos or social media posts,
may set its own cookies governed by those platforms’ policies.
3.
THIRD PARTIES
Third-party technologies on the Site and App come from WordPress and
Elementor Pro, Google Analytics, PayPal, embedded content platforms, and, for
the App, Vercel and Supabase authentication. We do not control third-party
cookies; their policies govern them.
4.
YOUR CHOICES
Use the consent banner to accept, refuse, or change non-essential cookies
at any time. Your browser settings can block or delete cookies, though blocking
essential ones may break parts of the Site or App. Google offers an analytics
opt-out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. We honor consent choices; where Do
Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals are received, we apply them to the
extent feasible.
5.
RETENTION; CHILDREN; CHANGES; CONTACT
Cookie lifetimes range from the browser session up to 2 years for
analytics, as described above. We do not use cookies to knowingly collect data
from individuals under 18, except as part of a guardian-consented client
relationship described in our Privacy Policy. We may update this Policy and
will post revisions with a new effective date. Questions: Core Ascent,
cartercbus@gmail.com.
