At CoreAscent, we’re a dedicated duo with the expertise of a Registered Dietitian and strength and conditioning specialist in a two-person business passionate about transforming lives through sustainable health changes. We draw on expertise in nutrition, fitness, and behavioral psychology to empower clients, breaking free from fleeting diets and gym fads while building lasting habits.

Our approach goes beyond meal plans and workouts, focusing on psychological and social drivers behind choices—like comfort eating or skipped sessions—and turning them into actionable strategies. We’ve witnessed challenges like busy schedules, emotional eating, and societal pressures which derail progress, so we craft personalized programs blending evidence-based nutrition with strength training and sociology tools for community and resilience.

Through one-on-one coaching and educational materials, we inspire lifelong health journeys. Clients gain confidence, balance, and maintenance tools allowing for long-term change, not just weight loss or muscle gain. Hi, I'm Cole Carter, a dietitian with a passion for helping individuals believe in themselves and achieve their health and fitness goals.

My expertise is rooted in a Master's degree in Exercise Physiology with a focus on sports nutrition from UW Madison, and a strong background in Nutrition and Dietetics. I've gained valuable experience working with the UW Badgers football team, Morton Plant BayCare hospital, and trained alongside world-class powerlifters.

I believe that exercise and nutrition are powerful tools for building, not just physical strength, but also confidence. I believe that experiencing tangible progress fuels a growth mindset that positively impacts all areas of life.

My journey into fitness and nutrition began with my own health challenges. Before high school, faced with multiple surgeries and chronic conditions, I discovered the transformative power of combining nutrition and exercise. This approach allowed me to overcome significant obstacles and achieve a level of health and well-being I was told was not possible.

People often tell me “Wait until you are older,” but so far, every year, I feel younger, stronger, more mobile, with less chronic pain than I did at any of my pre-adult years.

My name is Natalia Zamora Ruiz, Registered Dietitian and co-founder of Coreascent Nutrition and Fitness with the mission to help people elevate their performance, build sustainable habits, and feel confident in their body.

My passion for nutrition began during my years as a tennis player, where I saw firsthand how fueling properly could transform not just my performance, but my energy, focus, and recovery. That experience laid the foundation for what would become a lifelong pursuit of empowering others through nutrition.

I hold a Master’s degree in Sports Nutrition along with 10+ years of clinical experience and I bring both academic knowledge and real-world experience to every client I work with. Whether you’re an athlete looking to optimize your performance, someone working toward a wellness goal, or simply trying to develop a healthier relationship with food, I provide practical, personalized guidance grounded in science.

At CoreAscent, I believe in rising to your potential — step by step, from the inside out. Nutrition isn’t about extremes; it’s about balance and consistency.

Outside of work, I still love to play tennis, hike, go to the gym and try new recipes!
